So i got this idea from 'the idealist' page? or maybe upworthy, to jot down or photograph every good thing that happens in your life, everyday...sumthing new to do in 2014. I think its a great way to be aware and grateful for things and ppl around me and know that im loved. .which i need to remind myself quite often.
3rd Jan, 14: Tho I'm starting it today (5th jan- 2am) but i am very thankful for getting to see a big red cresent moon yesterday. I walked my way home from the stn lookin up. Ppl must think 'what a snob she is!' :P
4th Jan, 14: Been coughing badly, and since it was a FULL working saturday (after getting a 'complementary' off on 1st) I had to take a half day and go to the doc. That wasn't the plan tho, i got alil late and then it struck me i wudn't get time to see a doc at all if i don't go in the morning. I was ready with my shoes on, and told my dad lets go to the doc. He took his sweet time and i was thankful for that. I got time to lie and soak up some sunlight sliding thru my hall window and damn what pleasure that is` :d i even slept for good 15 mins. Then dad took me to the hospital...giggled the way dad bossed around and asked ppl to move fast and one poor young lad got so embarassed in front of me :P and then i got lost n called mom to gimme dad's number, she thot i lost my fone and kept tryin my number (left my personal fone at home) and till i came and rang the doorbell she was still trying. How sweet. I had no idea that she was worried that i'd be worried bout my lost fone :P So thankful for that and cough's getting better. Then after the paranormal thing that happened, got to hear all sorts of bhajans, hanuman chalisa, omkar satnam, hanuman strot and even sum muslim prayer. So pretty gud :D :P
5th Jan, 14: Gaurav invited me to attend this 'Tribute to R D Burman, Pancham da' and i agreed. He booked tickets in advance. By the time it was 8pm, i really didn't want to go n thot of ditching, but didn't...I'm so so glad that i actuallly did go! It was brilliant esp. the orchestra, i cudn't believe what i'm hearing is actually being played in front of me. It was real. Sexaphone! Flute! Damn the lead guitarist! There were 3 singers, Anil Bajpayee: Singing mohommed rafi and one couldn't make out the difference! He was too good. One sang kishore da's songs and female artist who sang for lata and asha bhosle...
Sum of the songs i loved:
Itna pyara wada: Even the original didn't sound this good. The beats were amazing.
O mere dil k chain
Chala jata hoon
Chura lia hai
Diwana mujsa nahi: Drums/Dholak (Y)
Musafir hu yaro
Iss mod se jate hai : The raags female singer sang! To experience it live? Is just elevating.
Chunri sambhal
Chand mera dil
Tum kya jano mohobat kya hai
Kya hua tera wada
Gulabi ankhein
Dum maro dum
My first live music performance (tho i've attended a live performance in blue frog, but that was purely for exploring a new place n not for music) n im looking forward to more
Venue: VishnuDasBhave
Then when we left, it was a pleasant COLD night :D Pretty good :)
